W1 Christmas

I adore Christmas! No seriously, I just love it, it's my favourite time of year and every year I feel totally excited about everything to do with the festive season.

This year is no different and hats off to the big brands for embracing Christmas again and bringing us Christmas sparkle and festive bling. I love the way that this year the big retailers and brands have chosen to embrace the sentiments of Christmas and provide audiences with that 'emotional spirit' that is truly what Christmas cheer is all about!

I have one of the best jobs in the world around Christmas time as I get to spend my days in the heart of London in W1, experiencing the best of Christmas in London! Even better than that, I spend a lot of time talking to retail brands about every element of their Christmas and how they are going to use GF Smith papers to bring their Christmas ideas to life in print and in-store displays. So in honour of this and my love of Christmas I have chosen to share with you my W1 Christmas.....Enjoy!

Now for a little bit of non-paper festivity....

I love a good marketing campaign and none could be better than the integrated full budget campaign of the John Lewis Christmas Hare.

Check out the Making of the John Lewis Bear and Hare as featured on the it's nice that website:

I also love the Magic & Sparkle of M&S and their Christmas advert 2013.

And why not enjoy the making of the M&S video also......just for fun.

BUT, this is perhaps my favourite for sheer Christmas theatrics and dazzling style. I adore the Nutcracker Ballet at Christmas so for me this is my favourite Christmas ad campaign.....take it away Baileys.....

And one last image to share with you. Some great Christmas decorations in W1 this year and the best department store window display in W1 has to go to Liberty and their Cracking Christmas windows. Hats of Liberty - you did Christmas with style this year! However, my favourite street decorations go to Carnaby Street, with the cutest and fattest Christmas robins in town!

Hope you enjoyed the insight into my W1 Christmas!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

With love from Rachael's W1 Diary
